Medical Center Looks To Get Indigent Care Funds Restored |
|
The Medical Center of Central Georgia may see money for indigent care be
restored to their budget.
Bibb County Commissioners Wednesday are discussing putting the $2-million dollars, that was cut last summer to cover medical costs for the poor, back into MCCG's budget. The funds were diverted from the Medical Center to be used for a new countywide property revaluation. MCCG CEO Don Faulk says the hospital expects to spend close to $22-million dollars this year on indigent patient care in Bibb County. |
