Charges Pending After Deputy In April Crash Dies

More serious charges may be filed against the driver of a pickup truck after a Bibb County deputy involved in a wreck with the truck dies.

The sheriff's department said 32-year-old Deputy Michael Sean Thomas died Sunday at the Medical Center of Central Sunday from injuries he received when his motorcycle collided April 26th with a pickup truck driven by 49-year-old Levi Bonner.

Thomas was approaching an intersection when Bonner allegedly pulled out of the parking lot of a liquor store in front of Thomas.  Bonner has been charged with failure to yield right of way.

Results of blood tests taken after the wreck are still pending.
