Macon Man Shot Twice Outside Of Residence

The Macon Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place at 936 Bartlett Street Friday night around 10:00pm.

Police say 47 year old Edward Mayes, of 1035 Cypress St., was visiting a friend and was outside of the residence when he heard a noise. He next heard shots being fired and tried to take cover, but was struck twice. One bullet hit his left wrist while the second entered his lower back. Mayes

 is listed in stable condition at this time at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
