| The Barack Obama
campaign is now confirming earlier reports that it is pulling TV
ads and moving staffers out of Georgia and re-assigning them to
more competitive states.
The campaign says the redeployment is not an
indication that they think Georgia will go for McCain. A
spokeswoman for the Obama campaign says even if a significant
number of staffers leave Georgia, Democrats will still have the
largest staff presence ever in Georgia for a presidential
campaign.
Since 1992, Georgia has voted Republican in
every presidential contest.
The latest RealClearPolitics.com poll shows
McCain with a six point lead in Georgia.
