Plans filed in Miami would turn one of Pitbull’s former childhood homes into a new headquarters for his Mr. 305 company in Wynwood. City records show the small single-family house at 25 Northeast 28th Street has been approved for demolition as part of a proposed redevelopment tied to the artist’s business.
The proposal calls for an eight-story building with about 11,200 square feet, including roughly 9,700 square feet of office space. Project documents identify Brickell-based Rilea Group as the developer, while the application was submitted by Un Melon en Wynwood LLC, an affiliate of Pitbull’s Miami-based label.
Design plans describe a black-and-white mural-style exterior that nods to Wynwood’s public art identity, along with materials such as reclaimed brick, glass, and decorative metal accents. The site is currently zoned for five stories, and the team is seeking a bonus that would allow the building to rise higher in exchange for a contribution to a neighborhood fund.
