CDC’s COVID Shot Guidance for Kids Contradicts RFK Jr.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Thursday issued updated advice regarding COVID-19 vaccines for children, saying kids “may now receive” the shot, contradicting Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s announcement that the government would stop recommending routine COVID-19 vaccinations for healthy children and pregnant women.

The new guidance says parents who want to vaccinate their child “may receive COVID-19 vaccination, informed by the clinical judgment of a healthcare provider and personal preference and circumstances.”

Kennedy said he would remove the CDC’s recommendation.
